| Georgie’s Gems "Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes again. See how farmers wait for their precious crops to grow. They wait patiently for fall and spring rains. You, too, must be patient. don't give up hope. The Lord will soon be here. " (James 5:7, 8) This is a very timely Word that we need to be patient. We do not want to run ahead of the Lord in our zeal to serve HIm. There are processes that need to come into our lives. We can call it the early and latter rain, or the growing season, the developing and discipline, until there is maturity and harvest time. When the glory of the Lord is fully revealed, we shall be known by the world as the manifested Sons of God. Romans 8:19 "For the anxious watching of the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God." We are coming into maturity and being prepared for the harvest. We stand before God and remember that His life is within us, and it is not in the chaff (the flesh life) that is dead and being removed. We are fast approaching harvest time in the Spirit of this day we are living in. We see the signs of the ending of this age coming upon us. There are conditions existing at harvest time which are not found at other times. "Let your eyes look right on (with fixed purpose), and let your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil." (Proverbs 4:25-27). Think about being on a journey to a certain place. There are signs along the way telling you how close you am getting to your destination. But, as we get closer the signs become larger and more detailed. We know we are very close to our destination. It is the same with our journey to the throne of God. The signs are getting plainer and plainer revealing that we are close to the end time. In those times when we cannot see ahead, we can say with the Psalmist, "when my spirit was over-whelmed within me, then You knew my path." (Psalms 142:3). Knowing that "Christ in me is the hope of glory", we can walk it out until we see the unfolding of His purpose and rejoice. We must keep our eyes looking straight before us, girded up and fastened on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Dr. Georgie Franklin |
